Slow safaris for deep travellers

JOURNEYS THAT BRING YOU
HOME TO YOURSELF

Slow, soulful safaris through Tanzania's wild places, ancient cultures and timeless landscapes, designed not for what you'll see, but for who you'll become.

We do not chase wildlife.
We wait for it.

We don't operate that way. We never have. At Teva, the deepest moments come from staying still long enough that the wild begins to trust you, and that something inside you begins to change.

Meet your guide

Travel with George Shango, or the small team he trusts.

Every Teva journey is led or organised by George Shango, a Tanzanian wildlife biologist, conservationist and photographer. George holds a degree in wildlife management from Sokoine University and a master's in biology, with field research on lion populations in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. He is Head of Tourism at the National College of Tourism in Arusha, a member of the Tanzania Wildlife Media Association, and a 2025 Grumeti Media Lab fellow. When you travel with Teva, you are never handed over to a stranger. You travel with George or with the small team he has trained and trusts.

The Teva Journey

Slow safari travel in Tanzania

How We Travel

Slow is not a tempo.
It is a philosophy.

We cover less ground so each moment can become fuller: a waterhole at sunset, a quiet morning with an elder, a leopard watched without interruption.

They come for Tanzania. They leave changed.

What Guests Carry Home

They come for Tanzania. They leave changed.

Most guests describe the result in ordinary language: better sleep, more patience, deeper attention, quieter days, and memories that keep working long after home.

Sleep

The body remembers a slower rhythm.

Notice

Small things become visible again.

Return

Home feels different because you do.
